SX500 Puts You On The Fast Track To New Floors

SX500 is a two-component, 40%-recycled content product that is compatible with all of Tremco’s products but is particularly well-suited for use with ES600 Moisture Vapour Suppressant for a fast-track flooring installation.

SX500 dries within half an hour of application and is moisture tolerant. It is supplied in 22 kg sacks, each of which needs to be mixed with 4.4 kg of the Part B liquid to create the compound. With an application thickness of 2mm – 15mm, SX500 is suitable for a range of substrates and is an ideal preparation for the laying of textiles, carpets, timber flooring and ceramic tiles.

Once blended, SX500 has a working time of around 10 minutes and can usually be walked over within half an hour of being applied. Most floor coverings can be laid over the compound after only 90 minutes.

Because many existing sub-floors require sealing to control residual moisture, SX500 is often used in combination with ES600 Moisture Vapour Suppressant.

This product sets new standards for sustainability and user friendliness, being water-based and with a very low VOC content. And importantly it can be laid where moisture readings reflect an RH of up to 95%.

An additional benefit of combining SX500 and ES600 is that priming is not always necessary, which means application times are significantly reduced.
